Private Wine Tasting Tour to Baja California!

We had an amazing two-day wine tour in Valle de Guadalupe with my family! This was our second tour with Mario, whose deep knowledge of the region’s wineries and restaurants made the experience even more special. The convenience of round-trip pickup and drop-off in San Diego made the trip effortless. Mario curated a perfect balance of intimate boutique wineries and well-known larger establishments. We especially loved discovering the smaller, hidden-gem wineries that you might not easily find online. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we can’t wait for our next Valle adventure!

This was the perfect intro into Valle de Guadalupe! Mario picks you up in San Diego, explains the process for crossing the border and gets you into Valle to enjoy great wines! Then he explained the process for getting back into San Diego and it was such a great trip!

We had a very enjoyable one day tour of Valle with Baja California Wine Tours, led by Mario. The tour offered a good introduction to the region with stops at three wineries and lunch at Finca. A wonderful full day, not to be missed!

Booked a public wine tour with friends. It was very nice to not have to drive into MX. the driver was friendly and drove well and Mario was very knowledgeable about the area. We visited three wineries and had lunch. Each winery was so good and lunch was amazing! I would definitely book again. It’s nice to just relax and have someone else drive and handle the itinerary. Definitely worth it.

We had an amazing experience with Mario & René as our tour guides and Enrique as our driver. There was 20 of us for a bachelorette and we had a ball! Our lunch was delicious and the wine was great too. Our tour guides were super fun and friendly as well as knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommend if you are in SD and looking to venture out for the day!

I've been to Valle de Guadalupe multiple times, but this was by far the most fun experience I've had! The host had a great attitude and was very attentive to the group's needs. We even lost two jackets during the trip, and they went out of their way to find them and coordinate a pickup—such amazing service! The border crossing was incredibly smooth and fast, saving us from the usual 2-3 hour wait. I’m definitely booking another incredible trip with them. Highly recommend!

We had the BEST tour of Valle de Guadalupe and Baja with our guide, Mario. Our group loved the informative (and scenic!) drive down to the Valle. We did the day tour and stopped at 3 wineries (Baron Balche, Decantos, and Casa Magoni). We also had an INCREDIBLE lunch at Finca Altozano. Each stop was unique, we received great service from everyone, and we all loved the wines we got to taste. The different scenery and views from each winery and stop along the way was beautiful...plus, we loved all the winery 'dogs' that came by to say hello. We had plenty of wine, with opportunities to order other drinks and snacks if anyone wanted to. The wines we had at each winery were delicious, plus the cheeseboard and lunch we had were so yummy, fresh, and either made locally or tied in with the local offerings. It was so convenient having a designated driver who knew the area and made crossing the border easy. We felt completely safe and taken care of the entire time. 10/10 would go back on another tour to Valle - next time we would love to spend a few nights! If you are looking for a way to experience the amazing food and wine of Baja California while making unforgettable memories, I can't recommend Baja California Wine Tours enough! I have done two tours with Mario, and both were absolutely incredible. Mario knows so much about Baja California and has such a warm way of sharing it. I felt completely at ease and just enjoyed the moment. Our tour started in Puerto Nuevo, where the views were beautiful. From there we went to El Valle de Guadalupe and we visited two wineries including Baron Balche. I will never forget the fresh tuna and the best clam chowder I have ever had, it was seriously next level. I have never been much of a wine person but the wine I tasted here completely changed my mind. What made it even more special was how much Mario genuinely loves what he does. You can feel his passion for Baja California in every part of the tour, from the stories he shares to the little details he points out during the tour. It is an experience I will never forget, and I already cannot wait to go back. If you are planning a trip to Baja, this is an absolute must do! :)

This wine tour was AMAZING! I went for a bachelorette trip and we had the best time! The wine was delicious, the views incredible, the food at lunch was amazing! I can’t say enough great things. Most importantly Mario could not have been a better guide and host. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the areas we went through making the trip informative and fun! We stopped along the way to take in breathtaking views and purchase tasty local candies. I highly recommend this tour! I look forward to going again!
