ATV Tour: Gold Mine Old West, Colorado River, or Ultimate Adventure

It was such an amazing experience for us! We were there to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was definitely a memorable day! Our guide was Alisha, and she was incredible! She was so much fun and also very knowledgeable! I highly recommend Alisha and this tour!

This tour was AMAZING! Alisha was our guide and she was off the charts fabulous! Her knowledge of the gold mine and the area was not only incredible but fascinating. Her ability to take pictures of our journey, provide interesting information and still engage comfortably and wittingly made this tour a true adventure that we will remember for all time!

An Unforgettable Birthday Surprise — Above and Beyond! I originally reached out to Awesome Adventures with a lot of hesitation. I was looking for a surprise birthday adventure for my husband, but I was apprehensive — he's very tall, and I have a physical disability. Honestly, I didn’t expect it to work out. But when I contacted them, Ayde responded quickly and warmly. I explained everything, asked a ton of questions, and without hesitation, she said, “We got you! We can make this happen!” That confidence and kindness convinced me to go ahead and book the Old West Adventure ATV and Gold Mine Tour for July 12th. The morning of the tour, we drove ourselves to the location (we're locals) and were greeted right away. I had also asked Ayde to add on the breakfast option for us — it was absolutely amazing and more than enough food for both of us. While we ate, our guide Alisha got everything ready. We expected to be in a group, but to our surprise, it ended up being just us, which made the experience even more personal and special. Before we set off, Alisha took the time to carefully explain how to operate the ATV and walked us through what to expect. She was incredibly reassuring, telling us not to worry about keeping up with any pace — “I only go as fast as you go,” she said with a smile. That instantly put us at ease. Alisha’s knowledge, experience, and personality are truly unmatched. She was professional, patient, and so personable — she turned an already special day into something unforgettable. I can’t recommend Alisha, Ayde, and the whole Awesome Adventures team enough. They went above and beyond in every way, and we are so grateful for the memories they helped create. If you're even thinking about booking — do it. You won't regret it.

This tour has beautiful scenery a great tour guide, a wonderful lunch and really great history. I would definitely recommend this tour.

The tour was terrific! I loved seeing the ghost town and learning all about its history. The owners of the town, a family, are quite friendly and have nice sense of humor which you can see all over the property. Transportation from and to hotel was straightforward. My guide for the day, Jensen was terrific. Very cool and down to earth guy, who is very knowledgeable about the area. He took photos and recorded videos during the ATV ride (not many tours do this!). The views of the area are quite majestic with the big mountains and hills. Definitely will repeat for another ride with the Rzor next time! PS. Company took me to the destination despite me being the only passenger for the day. I really appreciate their commitment and good service, as in most cases, the ride could have been easily cancelled.

What wasn’t memorable?! This entire excursion was excellent! We had the brilliant Alisha as our guide. She was a wealth of information and always kept us safe (especially as first timers on side by sides!). The history was so incredible to learn about. We ate our lunch in a barn with views to the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon. It was just lovely! We had so much fun! And Alisha even took some awesome photos and videos of us throughout the day and she just gave them to us. There are no gimmicks to buy them later. If you appreciate straight shooters who teach you tons of stuff, keep you informed and safe, and show you one heck of a good time - take this tour! We did the all day tour and highly recommend it!

Fantastic day of riding and touring. Jensen shared interesting tidbits of information throughout the day. We chose the Ultimate Adventure tour. If you have the time, this is the one to take! The property owners (and museum curators) have an awesome sense of humor too.
